There are multiple ways to advertise your blog if you can afford it and spend the budget at. But if you have a small budget it’s better to chose more structive methods with high speed of response which can be pursued in various advertising campaings. I would like to check on there types here:

—- Facebook Advertising.

Adwords is an old, reliable and certified method. The advantage resides in ability to advertise everywhere from Google results pages to numerous websites. It also allows you to target specific ads to specific sites. If you know which sites run Adsence program you can go from there and develop your ads in accordance with its readers’ preferences.

StumbleUpon is a nice method too.If you optimize your page for StumbleUpon users you will alos attract an organic traffic flow to your site, people will read it and therefore vote it up.

Facebook advertising will be in use if you target age-specific or interest group. You can use here PPC advertising paying for ads just a little — 0.01 cent per click or either your can sell ads on an impression basis.

For advertising yourr blog you can use BlogAds tool too.

Don’t forget to create a landing page to make visitors interested in you and come back again aand again. Landing page is not necesearly a frint page. Landing page should contain the most juicy and catchy content.

As very important addition you should remember about correlation and relevancy of all elements in your advertising campaign. Landing page must reflect the information your Ad brings to a visitor. In turn, the site displaying your ad must be relevant and content corresponding.Otherwise people won’t take the action you want.

Yandex Finds Anything!

Posted by marketingbulletin on January 15, 2008

Recently a chief technical officer of Russian search engine Yandex Ilya Segalovich was giving an interview to one social networking company. I would like to briefly cover Yandex and shape its main achievements and future plans.

Yandex is a leading Russian search engine that has already exceeded the bounds of this definition. Because they are also leaders in various niches and web categories such as news, mail service, search, shopping, blogs, photo hosting, maps and others. The company was introduced in 1997 and set selling search boxes into large Russian companies as their primary object. 5 years later the enterprise became profitable and still keeps the highest ranks.

Despite the fact the company is very powerful and respective, its employee team consists only of 1000 people that are scattered in various Russian regions and abroad (Ukraine).

Yandex receives its main revenues owing to online shopping portal. It’s the primary field where the efforts exerted for. Besides the search engine cooperates nearly with all Russian companies involved with online sales.

The other Yandex web category is news aggregator. It’s a very smart system that collects data and is run by computer. It also links to relative articles and photo files via keywords. A photo hosting site is comparatively new sector opened last year. Traffic system and map with strong and accurate data ranks number one in the country. Yandex mail service compares well with another powerful mail application mail.ru that still remains a leader in this field.

Ilya Segalovich gave publicity to company’s outcomes in 2006. Over the past two years the Yandex’ revenue growth had accounted for $72 million.

Right now Yandex and Google are closely cooperating and the latter has already opened bunch of offices in Russia.

Advertisers Stake On Social Networks

Posted by marketingbulletin on January 3, 2008

Social Networking Sites become more popular every day. And even if someone considers the social networks to be a quick through-passing infatuation marketers hold an opposite opinion. Advertisers are sure in advisability of social ad spending.  They intend to increase the investments in this online niche. According to year 2007, advertisers spent more than $920 million to advertise on social networks. Firstly, it’s easy to target the wanted audience. The community is divided into groups of interests: by location, keywords, preferences, others. Advertisers’ chances increase because people frequently return to social networks. They will increase this index around 70 per cent more. Those substantial inpayments are to be sound, because the number of social network users grows rapidly. Teens make up the biggest section in social networking. According to eMarketer research around 17.7 young users are assumed to visit social sites at least once a month in 2008. And the numbers are also growing outside the United States. Worldwide social network ad spending will exceed 4$ billion by 2011.

However, there’s the reverse of the medal. Despite of all above-listed advantages, advertisers can encounter with impediments. Many social network users find ads rather intrusive and improper. And how can you target the audience if you are not sure whether their personal info is authentic or just made up? So the advertisers need special approach to network users based on various models (not mass marketing) and they should add a value to the social network community.
